Over the past several years, the healthcare industry has become more transparent to the general public and the business world alike. The industry has made impactful strides with advanced bio-technologies, revolutionary pharmaceutical treatments, and a keen focus on big data analytics. However, the advancement of the industry is accompanied by burdening costs. This growing problem warrants the attention of our future leaders in the healthcare industry. The Healthcare Business Association at Johns Hopkins University is dedicated to the betterment of healthcare by cultivating thoughtful, knowledgeable, and passionate leaders for the years to come.

Mission

The  Healthcare Business Association is a student-led organization at Johns Hopkins University. Our mission is to provide a forum for students to learn about the business of healthcare, interact with alumni and current members of the Johns Hopkins University who are interested in healthcare, and meet with industry leaders and key decision makers within the many sectors of the healthcare industry - biotechnology, medical devices, digital health, clinical research, healthcare services, care providers, health insurance, health financial institutions, healthcare consulting, and the government.

History

The Healthcare Business Association was founded in 2012 by students at the Carey Business School. Since inception, we have enrolled over 500 members involved in nearly every segment of the healthcare industry. We offer numerous networking events, lead industry-treks to companies across the United States, host an annual conference featuring prominent leaders in healthcare, and organize case competitions sponsored by Pfizer. Join us today to become a part of our history and add to the growing list of successful professionals of Johns Hopkins University's Healthcare Business Association.
